Northern Colorado Music Nonprofit Bands Together with Partners to Bring Live Music Back to the Holiday Twin Drive-In

FoCoMX: Drive and Jive returns for another season at the historic Holiday Twin Drive-In. This innovative music concert series launched in 2020 in response to live music shutting down worldwide and was one of the first live series to return. It provided Northern Colorado residents with aCOVID safe and entertaining live music experience throughout the summer and fall of 2020. This year, FoCoMX Drive & Jive is innovating once again! FoCoMX Drive and Jive is back for a reimagined summer concert series showcasing Colorado bands. The series will feature a diverse array of both established and discovery artists in keeping with Fort Collins Musicians Association’s mission to “Support Northern Colorado musicians at all stages of their careers by providing performance opportunities, offering connections to health and wellness resources, and building engaged audiences for local music.”

The series takes place on Sundays with a mix of daytime and night shows. The daytime shows are provided free of charge to the community and will feature live music, food trucks, and a makers market. In addition to the FREE shows, the series will offer three (3) ticketed evening shows with live stage performances and vivid video of the show broadcast onto the big screen to complete the full drive-in experience. The nighttime shows will be ticketed and feature heavy-hitters The Burroughs, Slim Cessna’s Auto Club, a special Blast N Scrap showcase, and more. Patrons have the option of sitting in their car or lawn chairs or dancing in a roped-off area just for pedestrians near the stage.

“FoCoMA believes music is for everyone and has the power to change lives. With this commitment, we decided to offer our daytime concert events for free to help our musicians and community reconnect.” Greta Cornett, president of the Fort Collins Musicians Association (FoCoMA), the organization producing the FoCoMX Drive & Jive Series.
