Reissues of Peter Murphy’s solo albums will be released on vinyl & more

For the band’s 40th anniversary, Bauhaus catalog saw new vinyl reissues, and frontman Peter Murphy has reissued five of his solo albums for Beggars Arkive.

“Cuts You Up,” his biggest solo hit, nearly cracked the Top 40, was one of the biggest Modern Rock and College radio hits of 1989 that also includes “Strange Kind of Love” and “The Line Between the Devil’s Teeth.

You can also listen to “Should the World Fall Apart” (1986), “Love Hysteria” (1988), the 120 Minutes hit “All Night Long” — “Holy Smoke”, and “Cascade” (1995).

May 7 is the Deep Vinyl reissue. May 12 is the Cascade Blue Vinyl (which includes four bonus tracks from the 1976 album), and June 25 is the Cascade Double Scarlet vinyl (which includes four bonus tracks from the 1976 soundtrack).

Additionally, there is a new rarities album, The Last and Only Star, coming out later this month. It features 10 tracks that include “the rave edit” of “The Sweetest Drop,” “I’ve Got a Miniature Digital Camera,” and others.

A limited edition box set (500 copies) will include all of the vinyl reissues as well. The box set and individual releases are available now. The artwork for the box set was created by 4AD’s in-house design company, v23.

Here you can watch a few videos by Peter Murphy, as well as the tracklist for The Last and Only Star.

Moreover, it is likely that Bauhaus’s reunion tour will be delayed until 2022.
